This program is a year-long differentiated reading program that can be used alone, or in addition to an existing reading program. Designed to give teachers of pre-k, kindergarten, first grade and homeschool additional support in the areas of letter recognition, phonemic awareness, blending, sight words and beginning reading. This self and/or support-run program requires minimal effort on the part of the teacher. This pack includes all you need to get your program up and running to implement one-on-one instruction, daily/weekly assessments and frequent home communication for your students.
This self and/or support-run program has become an invaluable asset in my classroom. Over the past five years I have refined and enhanced this process with feedback from the parents running the program as well as fellow colleagues. Support can be in the form of parent volunteers, paraeducators, classroom aides, or older children in the school (I engage my third-grade reading buddies in addition to parent volunteers).
