Year Round Holiday Logic Puzzles for Mother's Day & Summer brain teasers 10 Tab

There are always those days right before a holiday, when all of the other teachers are showing out of date movies, and your students just can’t focus on your lesson...because you are actually teaching.  We get it!  For that reason, we created “WORK IT OUT: Cognitive Exercises to Build Brain Power, Stretch Thinking, & Increase Mental Agility.”  In this resource, we have 10 engaging logic puzzles for holidays and seasons throughout the year to help give your students that mental workout they need.  Students will use skills such as logic, deduction, analysis, synthesis, and sequencing.

Secondary teachers can often get the dreaded “You’re no fun!” when it comes to holidays.  This resource allows you to recognize a holiday or season while still maintaining an academic focus.  These are the perfect brain teasers to promote higher-level thinking and keep your student’s minds from turning to mush during the day before a holiday.  They are designed for middle school students but can be used with advanced elementary or even high school.  Each puzzle is a moderate level and we provide an answer key for the teacher.

These activities are perfect in any medium.  You can assign them digitally through your LMS (Google Classroom, Canvas, etc.) or print them out and work on them with pencil and paper.  They can be completed as a whole group, in learning centers, or even alone.  They can also be assigned to students who are early finishers so they continue to have quality instructional work.
