These supplemental materials go with the book Yeh-Shen by Gina Sabella. Journal prompt powerpoints are included. They are full of colorful and eye-catching fonts and pictures to start your day.

Each page is completely common core aligned and lists the standard right at the bottom of the page. "I Can" statements for each standard are also listed on the page to save you time!

Unfair (W.2.2, W.2.8, SL.2.5) - Students will describe a time that they were treated unfairly and draw to to illustrate.

Fairy Godmother (W.2.3, W.2.8, SL.2.5) - Students will write and draw to show what they would ask their fairy godmother for if they had one.

Hug It Out (W.2.2, W.2.8, SL.2.5) - Students will write a letter to a friend whose feelings they hurt and draw to show a picture of them making up.

Broken (W.2.2, W.2.8, SL.2.5) - Students will write and draw to describe a time when someone broke something that was special to them.
