PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This activity is a series of listening comprehension questions for the documentary-Yermas on rtve.es. The documentary is about the forced sterilizations of indigenous women in the Andes during the 1990’s. The video investigates the government plan that was created and the human rights violations committed as well as the cultural implications of the sterilizations. There are 12 free response questions requiring one to two sentence responses. This activity was designed for AP Spanish Language and Culture class, but would work well for any upper-level class that was studying identities, human rights violations, cultural views of family and community and Andean culture.
