This is a wonderful bilingual activity to use in order to help your students master the Spanish words for the months of the year and the days of the week. This game could also be played with ESOL students who are acquiring English skills. The game is a classic spin on "I have; Who has?" This version has been designed to assess a student's knowledge of the vocabulary words for days of the week and months of the year-- NOT just the order of the days of the week and months of the year. Therefore, each sentence contains both English and Spanish words so a student cannot rely entirely on his/her native language to merely guess the correct answer. For example, one card might read, "Yo tengo enero. ¿Quién tiene February?" In order to correctly answer this question, the student must comprehend that enero means January, and that the Spanish word for February is "febrero." Students will have fun practicing their language skills with this brightly colored, owl-themed set of cards!
