This is a repurposed sculpture made from very humble materials gathered from flea markets, thrift stores and yard sales. Basically, I dismantled a stuffed animal and put it back together again in a new way, transforming the original stuffed animal into a more sculptural art object. I used wire to join the head to the body and thread to attach the mink fur taken from an old hat, to the arm that is up in the air. I also used the cover of an old book to cover the other side of that arm. Aesthetically, I like the nostalgic feel of these pieces and try to make that part of the work.
