Yoga teacher and Educator Monica Batiste has worked in the health industry for over 30 years and has focused on bringing emotional intelligence into the classroom for over 10 years. As a trained illustrator, the beautiful illustrations will inspire children to enjoy movement.

The Paintings are painted on cotton paper and illustrated in gouache and prismacolor pencils. Each painting was inspired by the author's life, including yoga classes from Suttons beach, and local botanical gardens.

The line drawings support the early reader to begin the reading process with visual text. Children read the images, copy the poses, and understand how lines form meaning.

The rhythmic poetry on each painting supports the early reader. As this book is designed to be shared between adult and child (as there is text on each page for all ages), children develop reading confidence quickly.

Educators will be pleased that the text fits in with the Character Development, personal development, and physical education requirements for their classroom.
