Why are landmarks important to our nation?
In this project, students start by learning about the Statue of Liberty and it's importance as a national landmark from videos and websites provided. They integrate this information to answer questions.
They then choose another national landmark to research and teach the class about, as if they are a tour guide trying to teach others about this special place. Students carry out research and plan their presentation using structured organizers. They then provide feedback to other groups, before making revisions and presenting to the rest of the class.
