PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Engage your students in relevant, hypothetical cases regarding religion and public education. These five cases allow students to explore the application of the Establishment and Free Exercise Clauses as well as the various tests the Supreme Court has developed to asses the clauses' violations. Working together in groups or solo, students can decide how the case poses a constitutional problem, what test the Supreme Court would apply and how, as well as what decision they would come to if they were the Supreme Court. This lesson includes a lesson plan, five cases and room for student responses, applicable tests handout, and an exit ticket.
