When you are writing books with a whole class (or multiple classes) of students, organization is essential. This product has two templates with checklists I use when I write books with my students. One is for a handwritten book, and the other one is for a typed book. The checklists are printed on Post-It notes and attached to the outside of the folder or envelope used to store the “book in progress”. I use a different colored 3”x3” post-it note for each class to help me keep my classes organized.
I use a company called Studentreasures to publish our books. The books have seven pages of text and seven pages of illustrations, so you will notice that the handwritten template has seven numbers for final copies and illustrations. We circle a number when a page or illustration is completed. We color the illustrations in a separate step on the checklist.
How to use this product:
Print a copy of the template. Stick a Post-It note to each square of the template, making sure that the sticky end of the note is on the side that goes through the printer first. Print again on the template with the Post-It notes.
