Your Fantastic Elastic Brain is written by JoAnn Deak, Ph.D. This book teaches the reader about how our brains work. Also, this book teaches the reader about how to have a growth mindset. By going into the science behind how the brain works and processes new information, the reader is able to see that goals are attainable if you train your brain!

2. Taking a risk and doing something that seems difficult or scary stretches your brain. Write about a time that you worked towards reaching a difficult or scary goal.
3.Your brain grows very fast the first 10 years of your life, this is when you learn many new things. Identify 8 things you have learned since you were born.
4.Think about your favorite sport or activity. Then, identify how each part of your brain helps you engage in this activity. (Example on pg. 22 of the book) The students will fill in a diagram and draw a picture of them engaged in the sport or activity of their choice.
5. The harder you try to achieve your goals, without giving up, the easier things are in the future, when setting new goals. How does having a growth mindset help you achieve your goals? Why is it important not to give up?
