Do your kids love looking at real photos of things? For mine, it is an immediate attention grabber! I designed letter units that use real pictures. I have even included a series of “fact pages” that can be used to do “research” or as an introduction to close reading for the younger kiddos in mind!
In this packet you will find:
-2 different types of “write the room”
-with pictures of things that begin with letter Z
-fact sentence scrambles
-fact pages about Zebras, zebu, zeppelins, zinnias, and zucchini.
-For each fact page there are 6 associated worksheets: a circle map, a writing prompt, 2 types of fact “recording sheets” and 2 differentiated “draw and label” sheets
-“My Letter Z” book that can also be used as wall cards for the letter Z
-an “Z Words” circle map
-“On the Go” word wall to use at a writing center
-Z word vocabulary/word wall/pocket chart cards
-Sorting /z/ mats and sorting cards
-“Roll, Say, Keep” boards and cards
