This is a fun STEM activity that is BIBLE-BASED!!! The task is for your students to build a structure to help Zacchaeus get as much height as he can so he can look over the heads of the crowd to see Jesus.
-The lesson starts with a READERS' THEATER wherein your students will perform the story of Zacchaeus. There are 22 speaking parts. If you have more students than this, the ones without a part can read the parts that read: ALL NARRATORS. If you have less than 22 students, double-up on the parts!
-The students will receive an Engineering Form which they will use while building their structures.
-This activity comes with a RUBRIC if you'd like to grade this STEM ACTIVITY.
-There are 3 additional pages that you can use for early finishers.
This stem activity uses basic materials that you probably have in your classroom! It is perfect for any time of year! AND...how often can you find a STEM activity that incorporates our faith?
