Low prep activity great for centers or to glue in journals! Print, cut, and go. I laminate these and put them in baggies to reuse over and over. I teach students to "Zap the zeros" to make their dividing by divisors with zero easier. If they have to "zap" or cancel out 2 zeros, they sort them under the 2 lightning bolts. If they have to "zap" or cancel out 4 zeros, they sort them under the 4 lightning bolts. If they have to "zap" or cancel out 6 zeros, they sort them under the 6 lightning bolts. When they're done sorting they can solve OR you can cut that part off to save for a later date. Happy Sorting!

Find whole-number quotients and remainders with up to four-digit dividends and one-digit divisors, using strategies based on place value, the properties of operations, and/or the relationship between multiplication and division. Illustrate and explain the calculation by using equations, rectangular arrays, and/or area models.
Recognize that in a multi-digit whole number, a digit in one place represents ten times what it represents in the place to its right. For example, recognize that 700 ÷ 70 = 10 by applying concepts of place value and division.
