Description
Goals: associations, vocabulary, fine motor
Add some zip to your language activities with a Zig Zag! These easy to make activities will become a staple in your therapy room especially if you work with groups because they keep hands busy. Students will match associated pictures by crossing the yarn from one to the other. This FREEBIE targets months with their associated holiday.
A small notch holds the finished project in place until work can be checked. Each Zig Zag contains nine thematic word pairs. Graphics are from Smarty Symbols.
The graphics as well as the fine motor aspect of the task makes it appropriate for a wide range of ages including adults in a rehab setting.
To create, print the Zig Zags on cardstock and laminate. To make quick work of cutting, use a paper cutter to cut into large rectangles and use a scissor to cut the triangular zig zags. Punch a hole in the top of each Zig and Zag and a notch at the bottom. Attach a 9 foot piece of yarn at the top and you’re ready to go!
This FREEBIE is from the Language Association set which includes 11 additional Zig Zags: antonyms, associations, mealtime, food pairs, what do I eat, around the house, where do I belong, sports associations, occupations, cold weather and warm weather.
Also available:
