Product Description
This is a fun little game designed to reinforce letter recognition and identification. Both upper-case and lower-case letters are included, divided into four sets:

Set 1: Letter Identification (red borders are vowels, all other letters have a blue border)
Set 2: What Comes Before? (orange border)
Set 3: What Comes After? (yellow border)
Set 4: What Comes Between? (green border)

Select which letter cards you wish to use and copy them onto cardstock and laminate for durability. You can focus on a single set or mix and match to suit your needs. Blank cards are included so that you may add your own items. You will also need to prepare the three pages of “special” cards. Additional supplies you may wish to acquire to increase the “fun quotient” are some fish crackers (for the treat). This game is ideal for small group instruction (5 or 6 students). For a game lasting approximately 10 minutes in length, you will need 40-50 letter cards plus the 18 “special” cards. To adjust the length of your game, you can add or delete cards accordingly.

General instructions: Before playing the first time, a “Roar!” card should be hidden at the bottom of the deck. Do NOT hide a “Roar!” card at the bottom of the deck every time, however, or it will decrease the surprise of the winner in subsequent plays. The teacher (or leader) holds up a card to the first child who reads it aloud. Upon reading it correctly, the student is given the card to hold. If the child reads the letter incorrectly or does not know it, there is no penalty. Instead the child is gently corrected by the teacher. The child repeats the letter, keeps it, and play continues to the next student. Some of the cards instruct the student to do an action instead of reading a letter. Play proceeds until all the cards have been passed out. The child with the most cards is the winner.

Also available is a Numbers Version of this game. For just $3.50 more, you may purchase the bundle and get both!
