Learning about geography can be tedious at times. Using Zombies to peak interest can make learning fun and give students a greater purpose to study various geographic features and practice geographic skills. This project includes every document you need to teach students how to research a geographic place. Students will relish the opportunity to explain why their location is best adapted to defend them in the event of a Zombie Apocalypse!
Students will use critical thinking skills to decide and justify their decision. This research project can be completed using entirely online applications, or can be a hybrid where students use some computer features and some printed materials.
I have used this project several times in my own class and each time I have, students have shown deep understanding of push and pull factors and the themes of movement and place in Geography.
