Description

ZOMBIE Close Reading: Differentiated close reading for 4th or 5th graders. This download includes both a traditional PDF option and a digital Google app link.

You know those students who say they hate reading...maybe they are reading the wrong stuff? Give them something about zombies and I promise, the will all want to read it! They will look up at you with a smile as they ask, "this is really my reading assignment?" Rest assured that this creepy content is perfectly aligned to the reading standards. They'll be practicing real reading skills while reading all about stuff some kids find fascinating - zombies! It is written with completely factual content with rigorous questions that help them dig deeper using close reading.

This product includes three articles. Each article has two versions for easy differentiation. The version A articles are written at a Lexile level less than 690 (for students reading below grade level). The version B articles are written at a Lexile level between 790-880 (meeting 4th and 5th grade Common Core reading level range). You can choose the level you feel is most appropriate for your students.

Both sets of passages seamlessly use the same close reading and text dependent response pages (two pages per passage).
