Description
In this project, students take on the role of habitat designers for a zoo. They'll go step-by-step through Stanford's Design Thinking process as they choose an animal to focus on and examine how a current enclosure is meeting its needs. Then they'll create a map of a new enclosure and answer reflection questions about it. This would be a great final project for a unit on animal needs or habitats- it also works well as a follow-up to a zoo field trip!
This product is editable, so you can modify activities or remove the parts about the design thinking process.
