Great follow up activity to your day at the zoo....
Let your students reflect on their zoo field trip events by using this 8.5 x 11 poster. If your zoo field trip is like ours, sometimes we have about a 40 minute block of time after the field trip before we go home. This would be a great activity to get them calm and focused. It would also be great for morning work the day after the field trip. They could actually even complete some of the parts the morning before the field trip, especially the coloring parts.
This poster may be suitable for grades other than 3-5, so just look closely and use your best judgement if you want to use it for another grade.
This poster will look great hanging outside your classroom and parents will enjoy reading them when they are sent home.
NOTE: Don't forget to check out my other posters. There are lots to choose from. I have one for all holidays and lots of other school related events.
The sections for the students to fill out are:
*place for name
*Something funny I saw at the zoo was....
*Animal Name.... Facts I learned about this animal.....
*Would you like to be a zoo keeper? Why or why not?
*A snapshot of me at the zoo.....
*One thing you wish you could do at the zoo that you can't do....
*You are the zoo keeper. The lion gets loose. What is your plan to get him back in his cage?
There is enough space for your students to elaborate by writing several sentences. My fourth graders never have trouble writing in the spaces given, but if you have younger writers, they may not be able to fit it all in.
Use as a center activity or even as morning work. Use it in your classroom however you would like.
Once again, don't forget to check out my other poster activity sheets.
