This set focuses on strengthening fine motor skills, building letter recognition and increasing descriptive language. Included in this set you will find 26 Dot Pages, one for each letter of the alphabet. The large letters are uppercase and the letters inside the dots are lowercase which helps expose your children to both forms. For your convenience this printable also contains step-by-step directions, a supply list, as well as a page with extension and variation ideas. One variation includes laminating the pages and using different types of manipulatives to place on top of each "dot".
Inspired by the wonderful Zoo-Phonics
literacy program that uses a kinesthetic approach to teaching the letters and sounds of the alphabet. I strongly encourage you to check out their website
, if you aren't familiar with it. Kids absolutely love it!
All you need to do is print the pages and you're ready to go!
The animals include:
alligator, bear, cat, deer, elephant, fish, gorilla, horse, inchworm, jellyfish, kangaroo, lizard, mouse, night owl, octopus, penguin, quail, rabbit, snake, tiger, umbrella bird, vampire bat, weasel, fox (this is for letter x), yak, and zebra.
