Zoo Safari Phonics - Making Words
There are a total of 7 different animals to make words with. Provided in both color and black/white.
*The color versions I usually use for centers. I laminate them for durability. You can then use them as write & wipe. Cut apart and store the letters (You can use a Ziploc baggie).
*For the black & white versions, you can have students cut apart the letters. This provides cutting/fine motor practice too! Have students try to come up with as many words as they can make using only the letters provided. Have them write their new words on the lines. There are more than enough lines for most of the animals. For the elephant, if they are able to fill all of the lines, they can then write any additional words on the back of the page.
*To extend the activity or to differentiate: Use the additional recording pages to have students use the words they made and the zoo animal name to write sentences.
