Scoot is a fun, fast-paced activity where students will travel around the classroom from card to card solve math problems. It's a wonderful activity to get students moving, while still practicing skills!
Put task cards in order around the classroom. Give each student a recording sheet. Students will start at different task cards and answer the problem on their task card, then writing the answer in the corresponding box on the recording sheet. When students are finished or one minute is up, the teacher will say, “Scoot!” and students will rotate to the next task card. They will continue to answer problems and move around the room until they answer all of the math problems.
This Scoot game has students answer addition and subtraction word problems to 20. There are 20 task cards included.
