This is my students new favourite game! I use the game to end a guided reading lesson as well as at my working with words center.
How to play:
Place cards face down on the table. Players take turns flipping the top card. The player reads the word. If they can read it, they place it in front of them. When a player gets a ZOOM card, all the other players ZOOM all of their cards to him/her. The player with the most cards at the end of the game wins.
I have included over 100 cards in this deck. However, depending on your students’ reading level you may want to pick and choose the words that you use. You can also include doubles or triples in the set if students are struggling with specific words.
I have also included blank cards so that you can add your own words.
Thanks for stopping by!
