Product Description
Welcome to the world of sentences mazes: the next GREATEST thing to hit your classroom! Don't forget to check the PREVIEW!

In this set, you’ll find 16 activity pages. Each page has 2 full-color pictures, 2 sentence mazes, and 2 writing lines... that makes 32 mazes IN ALL! There are 3 pages each of all 5 short vowels (a, e, i, o, u) in isolation, and 1 page of mixed short vowel words.

Some EXAMPLES from the set:

The rat sat on a mat.
The ram has a black bag.
I like to dip my chip.
Liz likes the little yellow chick.
The fox is on a box.
Dot got a long hot dog.

Set-Up:
These pages can be used for homework, morning work, worksheets, or center activities. To prepare for a center activity that can be used again and again, all you need to do is print the pages on white cardstock. You may choose to laminate them, though I find using plastic sheet protectors the best way to go! Simply slide the pages in, gather some dry-erase markers, and you’re set.

How to Use:
During center time, my kindergarten students are given the sentence mazes in sheet protectors. They choose one page and get a marker. All mazes START in the top left corner with a capital letter and END to the far right of the maze. Each maze does NOT, however, take the same path. As students read through the mazes, they circle the words that help to make the picture next to it MAKE SENSE. Each sentence is only 6 words long, but WATCH OUT! Some words are in there to trick you! Once the correct words have been circled, students re-read it from left to right, then write it on the line using correct capitalization, spacing, and punctuation.

This set is a great way to get your students to practice sight words, decoding, reading with understanding, and writing!

Have fun getting through all those mazes! ☺
