The purpose of this learning center is to review addition facts. It is intended to improve speed and accuracy with mental addition.
Students will need to use addition strategies such as adding when the numbers zero or the number one are included as addends.
The sums for the addition facts in this learning center range from 0 to 20. Most of the addition facts are adding within 10.
It does not include every possible addition fact within this range.
This center is designed as an activity for early finishers or any time math learning centers are used in the classroom.
Students solve the addition facts in horizontal and vertical form using the numeral cards provided. There are a total of 12 function tables and each one has its own set of numerals to match the frames within the function table. Additionally, there are 2 bonus function tables.
This resource partially meets the Common Core State Standards under first and second grade's Operations and Algebraic Thinking.
