This subtraction PowerPoint game will make reviewing subtraction fun and engaging! There are a few different ways you can play the game, but here's how I use it in my classroom:
The day before a math test, I split the class up into 2 teams. I have the students get their personal whiteboards and a dry erase marker. If their stick is pulled, it is their turn to challenge a member of the opposing team. I have the other students work the problem out as well so I can use that as an informal assessment as I am walking around observing! When time is up (I usually give them about 1 minute to complete the problem) the chosen students must hold up their whiteboards to reveal their answers. The winner or winners are awarded a point. Whoever ends up with the most points at the end of the game wins.
