I saw something similar to this e-mail writing template on Pinterest - but after a very extensive search, I could not find a printable version, so I made my own.
They used it to write to a character in a story. I thought you could also use this to write an e-mail to thank parent volunteers, try to sell an item, write an invite to a class event. You could also use it to do media literacy or get students ready for writing to other class' blogs. Whatever you want your students to write about.
After they write their "e-mail", I plan to have my students glue their screen and keyboard sections to construction paper and then fold the construction paper as if it was an open laptop. I will then mount these 3-D published pieces on the bulletin board.
