Product Description
Students will learn about how our country gets its power in this booklet that describes in simple terms the main forms of energy sources and students must write in if they are renewable or nonrenewable. Teachers can go through the booklet with students and have them fill in the renewable or nonrenewable part or they could assign that to older students. I also have students illustrate each type of energy source. Nuclear power is already done for the students. This booklet could also lead to a discussion about advantages and disadvantages of each type of energy source. For homework, students can share the book with an adult and research what is the most common forms of energy in his/her home state. If you are in Ohio, please let me know and I'll send you a state specific booklet that I have already made with a pie graph showing the most common energy sources in Ohio.
