This is a guided note set that allows students to indepdently explore the 10 non-rigid and rigid transformations using a table of values.
Easy to follow and use.
Each of the 10 transformations has a 2 sentence summary that students either fill in the blank or circle the correct answer for. The summary explains what occured with the graph (stretch, compression, shift) and how we modified the parent table of values.
the notes only use 3 parent functions to allow students to focus on the transformations, not the parent graph shape.
the 4 groups of transformations uses only 1 parent - i.e. all "a" transformations use a quadratic, the "b" the absolutle value, etc ....
Currently, I use this in precalc, teachers at my school modify it for alg 1 and alg 2 respectively.
