The loveliest HEDGEHOGS for teaching young learners and complete beginners to use essential auxiliary (helping) verbs: to BE, to HAVE, to DO. The bundle includes 9 hedgehogs and a number of various fruits and vegetables with personal pronouns (2 sizes: big and small) + their B&W versions for coloring and craft.
These sweetest hedgehogs will make your lessons more engaging and exciting for kids and, as a result, more effective. «Delicious treats» will improve spelling of personal pronouns, B&W version will develop motor skills and creativity. And a skillful presentation of material by the teacher will make kids masters in using them in speech.
How to use:
- a brilliant decoration for your classroom walls + a fantastic visual aid as a BONUS;
- you can also make a lapbook or an interactive notebook in the classroom, cutting out and coloring hedgehogs, fruits, vegetables and other stuff;
- boring drills will become more fascinating if you add bright visual aids. Students can discuss different topics using necessary grammar patterns in pairs or mini groups with the subsequent feedback or they can make up dialogues;
- different activities and games:
Divide children into teams, deal hedgehogs between them (e.g. only am, is, are or was, were. It depends on grammar and vocabulary you study). Throw «the food stuff» on the floor and ask students to find all necessary pronouns («treats»). Variation:
Put fruits and vegetables in a circle on the floor (or table) and a spinner or a plastic bottle in the center, put hedgehogs apart. Children take turns to spin a spinner, take a fruit, put it to the correct hedgehog and make a sentence using target grammar and vocabulary.
Hide and seek.
Hide the food, set the time limit, make children find all the treats and feed the hedgehogs. Remind them that they like eating different things. You may play this game outside at the park or playground. Kids will love it!
