This product is a research project that students will use to learn more about El Día de los Muertos. There is an essential question that they must answer, "In what ways does El Día de los Muertos reflect the perspectives of Mexican culture?" There are suggested items that students research and incorporate into their presentations, however, students have to look at how and where it is celebrated and dive deeper to understand the culture and explain why this is so celebrated in parts of Mexico. The file includes a project description, suggestions to the student to get started, and a rubric. If teachers choose, they could have the students create a PPT presentation instead or create an essay. I have used this for an at-home project, however, teachers could choose to have students complete this in class. I would recommend that you give them deadlines if they are working in class. Two days of research, one day to develop their thesis, etc. I have my students complete the project in English. I give the students two weeks to complete it. **If you find any errors, let me know and I will fix it.
