iPad Close Reading JR
Easily integrate this low prep iPad app activity into your reading centers or whole group lesson on close reading strategies. Students will use the free iPad app Skitch to annotate a passage from a book read in one of 6 different close reading tasks.
Sets a purpose for close reading and helps students slow down, reread and find evidence in an engaging and paper-free way. Adapted just for learners in K-3rd or as a companion to my Close Reading task cards for the upper grades.
Packet includes everything your students need use the app independently* to annotate:
★ 10 task cards, each with visual step-by-step student direction pages for using the app to highlight, add sticky notes and arrows to practice 10 Common Core reading strategies:

★ 1 visual step-by-step direction sheet showing students how to take a picture on the iPad.

*K students may need some support in reading directions - although the K group we tested this lesson with simply used the visuals to complete the activity and were able to do it independently.
