iPad Reading Activity for Dialogue.
Notice and attend to types of dialogue, dialogue tags, and make character inferences using dialogue by easily integrating this low prep & creative iPad activity into your reading or writing workshop, centers or whole group lessons. Students will use the included sheets to first look for examples of dialogue in any text in one of 3 different activities. Next they will display their dialogue as a quote poster on the free app InstaQuote! Use as a review or reinforcement for your reading, writing, and grammar dialogue lessons.
Packet includes everything your students need to complete the project on the app independently:
★ 4 Visual step-by-step student direction pages for using the app InstaQuote, taking pictures on the iPad and cropping their quote posters.
★ 3 Different student activity options: Said is Dead, Dialogue Tags, and Dialogue Inferences.
★ 1 Anchor chart reviewing the purpose and types of dialogue to display.
★ 1 Work sample
★ 1 Rubric for assessing student work
You will need the free app InstaQuote. A QR code to download the app from the iTunes store is included in this packet. Students will also need access to fiction books in the classroom.
Since my products all utilize free web and app resources, there may be rare times that the technology does not work as planned, which may be out of my control. Please be sure to message me in the Q&A section so I can assist you before leaving feedback. I use all of the apps that I base my packets on frequently and will update products as the apps themselves update.
