iPad Reading Activity for Making Predictions.
Easily integrate iPad® mobile digital devices into your reading workshop, literacy centers, whole group or guided reading plans with this low-prep and creative activity featuring 2 free iPad apps. Students will use the included graphic organizers, planning checklist and direction sheets for making predictions before & during reading and for analyzing predictions after reading.
First students create a digital image of their book cover floating in a crystal ball to set the stage, next they make & check predictions several times while reading using a second free Crystal Ball app. Finally students will analyze their predictions versus the crystal balls' for some critical thinking.
Packet includes everything your students need to complete the project using the apps independently:
★ 2 Visual step-by-step student direction pages for using the free apps Crystal Ball and Crystal Ball Camera Pro.
★ 2 graphic organizers for making predictions and for analyzing predictions.
★ 1 Prediction Anchor Chart to display or add to reader’s notebook.
★ 1 Student project checklist outlining the project for students to use to keep track.
★ 1 Rubric to assess student work.
You will need 2 free apps: Crystal Ball and Crystal Ball Camera Pro. Clickable QR codes to download the apps from the App Store® online store are included in this packet.
Since my products all utilize free web and app resources, there may be rare times that the technology does not work as planned, which may be out of my control. Please be sure to message me in the Q&A section so I can assist you before leaving feedback. I use all of the apps that I base my packets on frequently and will update products as the apps themselves update.
