iPads can be a wonderful and motivating reward for clients during therapy. This visual is perfect for reminding students of the reward they are working towards, as well as the contingencies that will either earn or lose them iPad time. It also allows you to use time on the iPad as currency for the good work your clients and/or students are doing, giving them tangible and visual feedback. The penalty of losing earned iPad time can also be used to promote prevent nonconstructive behaviours, and help them to understand the consequences of doing the wrong thing in sessions.
Simply print of the visual and use pencil, or laminate and use dry-erase markers, to add a tally mark for every iPad minute earned. It is important to set clear guidelines for your clients and students as to what will earn an iPad minute, whether it's completing a worksheet, doing 5 straight minutes of good work, using their target sound correctly 10 times, etc.
