These are a fun way for students to get partners for any period of time. Have students match up symbols by writing their name in each other’s matching symbol. Then I have each student glue their page into their journal. I included a large one if you wanted each student to have a whole page instead of a half page. Then when you are ready to have them get into partners, say, “Everyone get with your Desert iPartner,” and let the partners find each other. I made large cards for each symbol that I color, cut out and laminate. Then I just put the card on the focus board and the kids get into those partners on their own before we start.
The symbols used are water drop, recycle bin, series circuit, desert, microscope, and Earth. I hope you enjoy!
