Description

This 3rd grade iReady Math Data Notebook can serve as a tool to empower students in their learning journey by helping them track their progress, set goals and reflect on their academic performance. Data notebooks foster student agency and self-directed learning by encouraging students to actively engage with their own data and make informed decisions about their learning path. Students can visually track their progress using graphs, charts and other visual representations of their data. Data notebooks can help teachers tailor their instruction to meet the individual needs of each student. By analyzing the data collected, teachers can identify areas in which students need more support or enrichment. Data notebooks are a powerful tool for cultivating a student-centered learning environment where students are actively involved in their own learning and become empowered to reach their full potential.

This data notebook is intended to be used in conjunction with the Ready Math resource. For each unit, you will find student self-reflections, quiz graphs, and test graphs. The graphs are broken down into standards and DOK levels. In addition, an iReady Diagnostic Data Tracker and iReady lesson tracker are included. An NWEA Map Data Goal Setting worksheet is also included in the file. Teachers can use these data notebooks to conference with students to set goals for the future and reflect upon progress. Students can set their own personal goals each trimester, quarter or semester using the goal setting pages that are included in the product. Students can use these pages to take ownership of their learning and develop a growth mindset. On top of this, a parent informational page is included for each unit. Tell and write time to the nearest minute and measure time intervals in minutes. Solve word problems involving addition and subtraction of time intervals in minutes, e.g., by representing the problem on a number line diagram.
Measure and estimate liquid volumes and masses of objects using standard units of grams (g), kilograms (kg), and liters (l). Add, subtract, multiply, or divide to solve one-step word problems involving masses or volumes that are given in the same units, e.g., by using drawings (such as a beaker with a measurement scale) to represent the problem.
Draw a scaled picture graph and a scaled bar graph to represent a data set with several categories. Solve one- and two-step “how many more” and “how many less” problems using information presented in scaled bar graphs. For example, draw a bar graph in which each square in the bar graph might represent 5 pets.
