This engaging activity will help your little ones identify and decode short /a/ CVC words.Students take turns pulling a CVC picture card from a bag, or stack, and then say the word. Each student then finds the word on their "iPad" and marks it with a crayon, bingo dauber, etc. Colored pages have been included if you wish to print on cardstock and laminate to use over and over again. You'll just need game markers!
This is a great activity for you ELLs as it allows them to match a picture to a word!
The picture cards are all high quality, colored images. I've provided a more advanced set with just the picture and a set with pictures and beginning/ending sounds for the students that may need a little extra help. The teacher can also say the word if students need even more assistance. There is no right or wrong way to use this activity! Adapt it to the needs of your learners!
Stay turned for the addition of short vowels e, i, o, u! Also, check out my iSpy Letters activity in my store!
