This is a power point file that contains lesson instructions and materials for discussing indirect characterization in "Three Skeleton Key." There are two different level activities. The first is a sort that can be done on the Smart Board, in which students can manipulate examples of indirect characterization from the text. The second is a handout that can be given to students in which they have to find evidence of the use of indirect characterization in the story. For this activity there may be some variability from the key provided. Also included are instructions for using either activity to respond to a writing prompt about the use of indirect characterization in "Three Skeleton Key."
