I noticed that my students were forgetting important concepts that we learned so I created these spiraling review quizzes. They begin with easy concepts and gradually build in difficulty. New concepts are introduced throughout the quizzes. There are 34 quizzes so I do one a week beginning the second week of school. I use these weekly quizzes to let me know who is still struggling with different concepts and to let me know who I need to work with in math small groups the next week. I also use them to plan my math centers. My whole team uses these quizzes and have told me that they noticed a big difference in concept retention with their students. They are not having to spend as much time reteaching since the students are reviewing each week. We also use the quizzes as the progress monitoring for our RTI students.
