Description

Do you need to find a quiet activity to do during music class so you won't disturb other classes during testing? Are you looking for a great way to check students' knowledge of musical instrument names? Musical Instrument Bingo is the answer!

This game is designed as a 'Print and Play" OR "Project and Play" game. The teacher holds up a printed instrument card OR projects the card on the screen. Students look at the picture and find the name of the instrument on their cards, providing a true review to see if they can identify each instrument. Your download includes 35 UNIQUE student game cards, 24 Instrument Cards (leaving room for a Free Bingo Space on each card), and Sub Friendly Caller's Cards to help you keep track of which instruments have been called each game.

This resource has been completely updated on 3/20/2020! I have replaced all of the clipart images of instruments with real instrument photos and created a version of the Caller Card that uses pictures and identifies the instruments to make this easier for a sub to use. I have also included 5 different PDF files of the instrument pictures so that you can play using your projector without printing the instrument cards. Just project the PDF and kids can see the instruments easily on the screen. Each of the 5 PDF files has all of the instruments, but in different orders so there will be different winners each time you play. As a courtesy to the people who have previously purchased this resource, I have still included the 2015 version in case you just need to reprint a page or two. The same instruments are used, and student cards are the same for both versions of the game.

If you have more than 35 students, or if you're using this resource for Distance Learning, it's easy to have kids make their own Bingo Boards! Just have them create a 5x5 grid on any paper. Add a free space to the middle square, then they can write the names of each included instrument in a different square on their board. Just project the text version of the caller card for them to copy the instrument names onto their own boards.

*Please note: You must provide your own Bingo Chips!

Instruments Included:

Trumpet, French Horn, Trombone, Tuba, Harp, Piano, Saxophone, Bass Drum, Cymbals, Snare Drum, Tambourine, Timpani, Violin, Clarinet, Flute, Oboe, Bassoon, Cowbell, Bongos, Maracas, Guiro, Djembe, and Cabasa.
