This resource is great practice for:

• An Overview of Unit 1, Weeks 1-5
• Weekly Practice: "The Progress Check Up" for Unit 1, Weeks 1-5
• End of Unit: The "Unit 1 Assessment Test"

It consists of 3 activities and covers the following skills:

• Vocabulary Practice for each week's Reading Passage (6 questions each week)

• Students get to build a Rocket. In each question there is a choice between one of three answers. Students get immediate feedback - If the answer is correct they get to add a part to their rocket. If the answer is incorrect, they are referred back to the original slide to answer again.
• Students work until they have answered all 6 questions correctly and have added all parts to their rocket. (Slide #23 is a “Student Recording Sheet,” that can be used to check student answers.)
