Pages in this download include:
-Full-Page rubric for student and teacher use
-Blank full-page rubric to create your own or have students share their ideas
-Smaller version (half-page) of the provided rubric
-A “norming” rubric to help you understand how to assess students using the rubric
How to use:
Students should assess themselves once or twice a month to note growth and progress. If using the full-page rubric, model how students can jot evidence to support the level they are giving themselves. This takes it beyond a quick check and no thought about why or how the grade was given. Teachers can then meet with small groups or individuals to see how their scores match up. From there, students can use the feedback to set goals for the next time and improve.
Also included is the half-page style, which could be used in between the more in-depth evidence-finding full page one. It can also be glued or taped into a notebook for students to refer to.
