Description

The spelling “ow” can be used to spell the sound /ow/ (as in “cow”), or the sound /oa/ (as in “crow”). Many students need extra practice learning which pronunciation to use when reading these words. These fun clip cards let students work on this skill independently.

These "ow" Word Clip Cards are a great way for your student to practice picking out the correct pronunciation for 48 different words! They are perfect for use in literacy work stations, reading groups, small group or private tutoring, on Montessori classroom shelves, or with homeschooled children.

Each card has a large clear word at the top and picture clues at the bottom for the two possible sounds. The student clips a clothespin on one of the options along the bottom, then flips the card over to check their answer. If the clip is on the star, then they were correct! Most cards also have a picture on the back to help with correct identification.
