This is a one page reading/story for students to practice the /sh/ consonant-digraph. This reading can be done after the /sh/ sound has been taught. I have used this with my beginner ESL students at the high school level. After explicitly teaching the /sh/ sound, the students used this as connected reading practice. It is a funny and imaginative short story that allows the students to visualize what they are reading while allowing them to practice the /sh/ consonant-digraph and build their vocabulary at the same time.
