Card game of 54 cards. Each card contains an equation that is a step in solving an equation (the problem, the second step, and the solution). Eighteen sets of 3 cards. Each set solves an equation and makes "a book". A "recording sheet" is included for easy grading and to help students self assess. Key is included. When making each deck, I marked the back of each individual deck so that I could tell the cards of that deck in case a card was dropped and I found it after class. This helped me quickly identify the correct deck so I was ready for the next incoming class. I ran the cards on cardstock most of the time, but I have used regular copy paper. Card games are an excellent way to save paper, even though it may take a little more time to ready the decks. Once your cards are prepared, you simply have to print the record sheets. I recommend printing the recording sheets the same color as the cards. If class time is short, only print half the deck and adjust your record sheet to reflect the correct number of problems. I use the variations instructions with my students.
