This is a super fun and exciting math picture project! Students color, cut, and, glue the spring objects in order on a piece of 12 x 18 construction paper. They will create a beautiful spring picture while working on skip counting by 5’s, 10’s, 2’s and tally marks to 5.
This can be done in one day if time permits but the students do a better job if the project is broken up into segments. I will give my students the pages to color as a packet during morning work. Then, make sure they have their name on their packet. Students will cut and glue to make their picture during our regular math workshop schedule. I love this activity because it works on so many different skills and they love doing it. Kindergarten students need continued practice with coloring, cutting and gluing.
