PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

I've created 16 subitizing dot cards that I like to use as a warm-up during math. I use these in my classroom everyday in different ways. The cards range from easy to more difficult. The first six cards have larger dots-I flash these cards and ask: How many do you see? How do you see it? There are other ways to use these cards to tie into addition. I call this game "addend, addend, sum!" The kids look at the card and respond with "5+4=9". You can also discuss which strategy helped the student figure out the sum. For example: "I knew it was nine because four and four is eight plus one is nine. That's a doubles plus one". There are three addend cards as well. You can also tie in subtraction. Prompting the students with "did anyone see it a different way". Just a FEW ways I use them in my classroom. Hope you enjoy!
Thanks, Rebecca Nguyen
