I have been an elementary educator for going on 8 years. I taught Pre-K/Kindergarten for five years and this will be my third year in 5th Grade.
I rely a lot on the practices and teachings of the "Daily 5". Teaching in a high poverty area, my goal is to have my students become confident, productive members of society. It is my hope to have them build a strong sense of community and leadership through small group work and independent practice to further develop their skills.
I'm honored to be a 5th grade teacher and my award is their growth each and every single day.
I have both my Bachelors and Masters in Education.
